Abuse causes Mental Illness

ABUSE AND MENTAL ILLNESS
I believe that depending on how you are abused will determine what type mental illness you will have. Understanding that all abuse can be categorised as mental. Physical abuse within mental illness is the phychological effects from that type of abuse. Various factors effect the outcome of the mental illness such as age abuse occured, frequency, intencity and if there was any good factors that helped ease the effects of the abuse on the mind, like a good parent, friends or sibling that were able to ease pain suffered or help with self esteem or confidence for example. I believe everyone is born with a very similar emotion setup within and its after birth that it is altered and how you will end up mentally. Looking at mental illness as a hereditary desease should play no part and doesnt serve any purpose to believe its hereditary. For someone to recover from a mental illness reversing the effects of the mental abuse is what is needed emotionally and medications should be seen as a way to dull or numb the effect on the mind to lessen the intencity of the illness while therapy is used that attempts to reverse the effects of the abuse suffered.
Abuse and its lasting effects needs to be looked at with the and understood with greater intencity that its current status of virtually being ignored if there is to be any positive steps in helping in what one of the biggest cost to society that is likely to increase exponentially as the world changes so rapidily while a human emotional setup remains unchanged
I feel one big problem within mental health is that there is often two different sides operating between say a doctor and patient or phych and who they are trying to help.
Within mental health operate a vast wide range of people who on the surface are out to do the best they can and to generalise would be at the high end of the good people scale. Problem is that the kind of people that work in mental health are good people and want to make a difference, class themselves with a good mind free from any mental illness which is the make up people with emotions that have not been abused and lack the understanding and empathy required in a lot of instances to understand the overall problem. Not understanding the problem virtually means not helping in the solution, mis-diagnosis and barriers, frustrations from patients. There are outdated processes from begining to end that dont provide for the flexibilty to help individual cases and it has to be remembered that people within mental health, that it is there job and is hard to have an understanding of what the abused have been through and cope with knowing about what an abuse victim has really gone through. Often from an early age someone suffering from the effects of abuse is not understood in therapy and all that is heard from there crys for help are what is capable of being understood from a person trying to help. Focus needs to be more directed at the real issues in understanding the problem. For example a young kid that is disruptive, short attension span and getting in trouble as just that from most people even maybe feeling sorry for the parents who have to put up th such a disruptive and problem child are more along the lines of how people think in general. It is this problem of how people think in general and not having the capabilities of understanding the real problems and that is basically why is this kid not doing well.
To someone who understands abuse and how it some one mind may be able to look at say an example of a 14yr causing problems to himself and others and going down the wrong path more from this persective or having more this thought process.
So billy for example is 14, been a problem and not really interested at school and maybe into drugs or violent for example. I think this would be at a minimum the thought process that would be need to be considered or at least understood.
The first and mot likely basic answer will be its not the kids fault he is not developing right and then to what extent is there an issue of anything from bad upbring to sustained mental abuse and then an understanding of what the kid is going through by at least someone.
Or an example of a teenage girl with anxiety and depression issue and suicidal is not that uncommon from a mental health outlook should be rationalised by why is this girl showing sign of extreme lack of self confidence and self esteem at such a young age, it can often be some sort of sustained mental abuse or what could it be. What ever the issue, it should be taken seriously and not just left to a life in and out of hospital, tablets and a life of misery that was all caused by a supposed loved one while the abuser continues to abuse those around them. Often in the worst cases of abuse the abuser has some sort of disorder that can make life a living hell for the families and because it isnt violent then it is never doing anything wrong. This is what somes up a good home and the emotions of that child. Not a worry in the world, protected and free to experience and learn the ways of the world from there loving parents always encouraged with thoughts of being loved while falling asleep.
Compared to something that will never even be questioned the emotions of a child where that parent has a disorder that confuses there minds, discourage and puts them down. They were built to be loved by there parents but everyday they have to enter back into the abuse and uncertainy. They are to young to understand how they should feel and have only ever felt pain and dont know what love is. As there self esteem and confidence continue to lower and into depression and anxiety and not even understanding that it is a parent confusing them again many times a day they send there emotion back for more pain. It may be gradual and each sentance not that bad but it is relentless and you become more dependant on your abuser as you become weaker in the mind. When its relentless with other factors your mind gets completly fried, and thats the abuse that my kids have to endure.
When faced one day with possible recovery from all the mental illness you have from this up bringing should be the focus. I dont think its possible for someone who doesnt understand the role of how abuse works on your mind and why that parent was abusing you, then it makes recovery impossible. You natural emotions are always going to try and rationalise what happened and i think a lot of that can be always definetely explain in what was the actual disorder the parent had and why that disorder was focused on your mental pain. Continuing to think is circles and jusstify what happened through your child hood is just more confusion for a mind never given a chance to rational process its own thought and emotions.
Understanding how and why a disorder was trying to hurt and confuse you through your child life and into adult hood gives the person an understanding of the possibility to reverse the effect of the abuse and away from trying to rationalise the abuse, which will never occur as its not humanly possible to think like the disorder was operating. Understanding the disorder can be the first step in recovery from long term mental abuse. Trying to link up all the answers so you are emotionally satisfied will help in recovery from mental illness

Author: Linking up the mind emotions abuse illness and recovery

Sydney Australia, My blog is about what i have learned and been through emotionally when you loose you kids to a disorder that goes way beyond the realms of what is possible to believe. It looks into what comes after psychopathy and to a place i consider the end. It is a fight that doesn't end until the kids are safe and loosing is not an option. I blog so people can understand how certain disorders cause wide spread suffering and mental illness to many. I write constantly to get the emotion and thought out of my system. Bottling up what im going through is not an option. I come from a world where there was no suffering and no understanding of mental illness and the spectrum of psychopathy into a world of child abuse, manipulation and broken people that cause suffering and they enjoy it. I blog about abuse, i blog about the system, i blog about the evidence i have , i blog about psychopathy type disorders, i blog about how abuse causes mental illness and current methods of recovery being irrelevant. I encourage comment and conversation and a raised awareness to my two boys who are going through what is considered the worst know abuse known to man. MALIGNANT NARCISSISTIS ABUSE. The one known evil. It doesn't tell the truth ever, it doesn't believe its doing anything wrong, but waits till doors are shut and goes about it, then comes out like all people who abuse children. Like nothing happened. What people dont seem to ever understand is that psychopaths don't walk around with a big sign pointing out there crimes. They never did. You cant spot em, you wont even know someone that knows one. But everyone knows more than one. They are everywhere they just blend in. But i know how to spot em, its easy and it has nothing to do with there look or there eyes
